Supporting Families
  • Hello Peter,

Well, Julianne is two weeks in and absolutely having the time of her life. She couldn't be happier. She has already joined a club and made four good friends. Her enthusiasm is infectious. She has taken everything in her stride and chats about school the moment she comes through the door.

We both want to thank you again for everything. Having a contented child is all that matters & you helped us achieve it.

    Best wishes

Another Kent Primary School fails OFSTED

Morehall School in Folkestone has failed its second OFSTED in two years, and so becomes at risk of closure, as it was served with Notice to Improve in November 2009. This makes three out of ten Shepway Primary Schools having failed their inspections in the last year and a half.......
In all 18 Kent Primary Schools have been failed in their most recent OFSTED Inspections, a worryingly high number for KCC as it carries out its own review into why Primary School standards are low in the county. Amongst many criticisms: "The quality of teaching, identified as a priority for improvement at the last inspection, has declined and is now inadequate". A reminder of the importance of school Governing Bodies is that: "the governing body infrequently challenges the school on attainment and progress. Consequently, it has not fully appreciated the severity of pupils underachievement or monitored the schools response to this". There are several other related items in the tags listed below. You will find details of other Primary School OFSTEDs across Kent here.
