In all 18 Kent Primary Schools have been failed in their most recent OFSTED Inspections, a worryingly high number for KCC as it carries out its own review into why Primary School standards are low in the county. Amongst many criticisms: "The quality of teaching, identified as a priority for improvement at the last inspection, has declined and is now inadequate". A reminder of the importance of school Governing Bodies is that: "the governing body infrequently challenges the school on attainment and progress. Another Kent Primary School fails OFSTED
Morehall School in Folkestone has failed its second OFSTED in two years, and so becomes at risk of closure, as it was served with Notice to Improve in November 2009. This makes three out of ten Shepway Primary Schools having failed their inspections in the last year and a half.......
