Medway Test and site visitors

Written by  Peter Read

Secondary transfer decisions have now been made, and I am delighted that parents have made such good use of my website, with 13,006 visitors in October, eclipsing the record of March that saw 9801 visitors. We now turn to primary school applications!

Many visitors have been following the unfolding story of the Medway Tests debacle, .......

and we haven't yet seen the end of this.  The next event on this saga is likely to be the publication of the outcome of several Freedom of Information requests, by myself and interested parents. You can find some of the latter at whatdotheyknow.com. The Ombudsman is now taking the issue up and, given the evidence, I believe they will find faults with Medway Council. we can therefore expect more detail to emerge about  the Council's failings,  together with proposals for action. You will find a summary of the 2008 and 2010 recommendations here. I anticipate these will be finalised before March 1st.
