This service is mainly used by parents who are considering using my full consultation service for appeals when my fee is deducted from the total cost. Parents also use it to discuss school transfer issues, but please feel free to enquire on other aspects of my advisory service detailed on this website.
Many parents, especially those whose children have not reached the pass standard in the grammar school tests in Kent and Medway, will welcome the opportunity to talk their specific situation through with an independent expert on school admissions and appeals.
My telephone advice line will also provide parents with clear, objective advice on the schools to name on your common application form, and the order you should consider, based on your child's test scores, your family wishes, your location and any other factors you consider should be taken into account. No one else provides a similar service for Kent or Medway parents!
I also provide advice where only non-selective schools are being considered, and can carry out a personal consultation at your home if desired.
Many parents have taken advantage of the presentations I have given to primary and secondary schools in Kent and Medway where I have provided advice to parents based on their local situation both as a group and individually. This new service now provides similar opportunities in other parts of the county.
My fee is £40 for a half hour telephone consultation; £75 for an hour consultation
If you wish to take advantage of this service, please send me an email providing as much information as possible.
For those wishing to appeal against a non-selective decision in the Kent or Medway tests, this might include:
1) Your child's test scores (available from the primary school);
2) Was there a Kent headteacher assessment (available from the primary school), or a Medway Review (details sent with your decision)?
3) The town or village where you live;
4) Your child's current school;
5) Schools you are considering:
6) Any other relevant factors;
7) Times when you are available in the next few days, and your contact telephone number;
8) Whether you require half an hour or an hour consultation.
I will then email back and, if I consider I can be of help, will confirm approximately when I will call. However, if I consider your issue is a straightforward one, I will respond free of charge by email, as soon as possible.
You will then need to make payment by credit card or Paypal, using the Paypal button here.
If you subsequently use my services for an appeal, I will discount the cost by the fee paid.
If you have any queries on this process don't hesitate to email me regarding these.
